How do you survive a journey through the Sahara desert?

The Bardo Museum displays treasures from the era when Tunisia was an Arab Caliphate, including the first global positioning system: the astrolabe. For centuries, nomadic tribes and travelers used the astrolabe to help them navigate the vast and unforgiving Sahara desert.  The other crucial thing needed to cross the Sahara was, of course, the camel.

What’s the secret to a successful partnership with your camel?  And how can a wrong turn with one cost you your life – thirty years later?

Tune into Museum Secrets: Inside the Bardo Museum, Tunisia, to find out.
